The Bvlgari Hotel Paris is easy to spot on Avenue George V, between the windows of couture houses and the Haussmann façades of the Golden Triangle. The Roman jeweler settled in here in late 2021 for its first Paris hotel, entrusted to Milanese architect Antonio Citterio.

As you push open the door, the first sensation is that of a marble fireplace warming the lobby, closer to a private apartment than to a classic hotel hall. The tones are warm, wood and velvet dominate, and it quickly becomes clear that the house’s Italian style has made itself at home within Parisian codes rather than copying them.

The rooms follow eleven categories, from the 42 m² Executive to the Penthouse crowning the top two floors. Some face the avenue, others a quieter inner patio. There you’ll find a leather-clad coffee machine, a minibar, and that attention to materials that recalls an apartment more than a standard room. The Penthouse, meanwhile, spans 400 m² extended by 600 m² of terraces and a suspended garden, with two kitchens, a private bar, and a view that takes in the Eiffel Tower from the master bedroom.

On the ground floor, the Bulgari Bar features black lacquered woodwork and a backlit ivory onyx counter. In fine weather, the door opens onto a garden where you’ll find Il Ristorante, entrusted to Niko Romito, a three-Michelin-star chef from Abruzzo. The cuisine remains distinctly Italian without overdoing it, and a private dining room makes it possible to retreat when you’d rather avoid the gaze of other tables.

Breakfast, served early in the morning, is well worth it: warm pastries, freshly squeezed juices, attentive service. One point to note, however, is that it is not included in the room rate and is charged extra, at around 65 euros per person, a fairly common practice in this hotel category but one best anticipated before booking.

Heading down to the spa, the atmosphere changes completely. 1,300 m² over two levels, a 25-meter semi-Olympic pool covered in emerald-green and gold mosaics, a heated jacuzzi around 34 degrees, an ice fountain carved from black granite. The treatment cabins, clad in Vicenza stone, can also be booked privately with a hammam and hydromassage for two. Since the spa also welcomes guests from outside the hotel, it is best to reserve a slot in advance during peak hours if you are coming only for a treatment, as access to the pool is not always automatic in that case.

As for service, the organization remains horizontal, which means each team works in pairs rather than in silos: doormen, reception, concierge staff who know Paris well enough to open doors that remain closed to most visitors. A multilingual messaging system handles requests, from car transfers to Berluti shoe polishing. Pets are allowed, and a butler looks after the suites around the clock.

One last tip for those staying on the patio side: the pool is almost empty before eight in the morning, when the light still filters through the mosaics without anyone to disturb it.
