Right at the top, on the eighth floor, the Parisian Suite occupies the entire level on its own, 34 square meters split into two distinct rooms, with the Eiffel Tower, Sacré-Cœur, and the rooftops of Paris in view from the window.

Below ground, a whole different world awaits. Changing rooms, tiles in misty tones, subdued lighting: the 13-meter pool is almost a surprise to discover. You go down in a bathrobe, cocktail in hand, to settle onto the graphic banquettes lining the pool. The hammam completes the set, reserved for hotel guests only, open every day from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. The space remains human in scale, which is part of its charm, but also its only constraint: it is better to aim for the quiet morning hours to have the pool to yourself rather than run into the weekend crowd.

In the evening, head to the Daphné room for tea time or a last drink. Sharing specialties, a subdued bar atmosphere rather than a gourmet restaurant: guests looking for a proper sit-down dinner will need to venture farther into the neighborhood, which, between the Champs-Élysées and Avenue Montaigne, is never much of a problem for long.

Outside, everything is done on foot. Five minutes is enough to reach the Champs-Élysées, while still being somewhat removed from the bustle of the boulevard. You can walk up to Concorde, head toward Avenue Montaigne for the shop windows, follow the quays to the Pont Alexandre III, and look up at the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais. The Arc de Triomphe is never far away either.

One final tip, picked up one weekday morning: ask for the pool as soon as it opens, at 7 a.m. The basin is still deserted, the low-angle light falls on the tiles, and for ten minutes, it feels as though you have rented out the entire hotel for yourself.
