Hotel Luna Park
Hotel 1-star in Paris
Presentation
Luna Park Hotel is located in the 11th arrondissement, a ten-minute walk from Place de la République and the Canal Saint-Martin, and just steps from the Bataclan. Guests often arrive after a metro connection, backpack on their shoulders, and the 24/7 reception is immediately reassuring: someone answers, even at 3 a.m. Luggage storage holds bags before their room is ready, vending machines provide a bottle of water or a cereal bar, and free Wi-Fi runs throughout the property.
There is no elevator to reach the upper floors. Suitcases have to be carried by hand, step by step, and it is worth knowing this before booking, especially for guests with reduced mobility: to date, the rooms are not equipped to accommodate them under suitable conditions. Once you push open the room door, the tone is set: heating, wardrobe, flat-screen TV, the essentials without frills. Some rooms have their own bathroom, others share one with the landing, which helps keep rates down for a stay in central Paris.
The decor is not trying to impress. This is more of a practical place to stay than a design-driven address, and that is precisely what explains prices that remain affordable in a highly sought-after neighborhood. In the morning, breakfast is served in a dedicated room on the ground floor. Simple buffet, coffee flowing continuously, enough to last until lunch.
There is no on-site parking, but paid parking is available nearby for those arriving by car. Around it, the neighborhood has plenty going for it: the Canal Saint-Martin is perfect for a digestive walk at the end of the day, Place de la République serves as a landmark for getting almost anywhere in eastern Paris, and the Bataclan, just around the corner, is a reminder that you are right in the heart of a lively neighborhood, not a tourist bubble.
One last tip, shared by a regular guest: skip the hotel breakfast every other morning, cross the street, and head to Chambelland bakery. The gluten-free bread comes out of the oven around 8 a.m., still warm.

- Impeccable room and bathroom. Comfortable bedding. Staff available throughout the stay.
- We arrived before check-in time, and the team found a way to welcome us. On departure day, they kept our luggage without any problem.
- Welcoming, attentive staff. Quiet location despite the lively area, with plenty of places to eat for all budgets nearby.
- Room with private bathroom booked as an option. Decent value for money for the neighborhood, clean and no fuss.
